Zur sozialen Kontrolle in der "Kontrollgesellschaft" : das Beispiel Drogenkonsum

Abstract

Die vor dem Hintergrund empirischer Befunde als kontraproduktiv zu bezeichnende strafrechtliche Kontrolle von Drogenkonsum lässt sich, auf einen zweiten Blick, als Teil disziplinierender Kontrollstrategien verstehen. Deren aktuelle Ausprägungen werden im vorliegenden Text unter den Stichworten „Prävention" und ,,Akzeptanz" diskutiert. Es zeigt sich, dass das Foucaultsche „Disziplinarindividuum" weiterhin elementarer Bestandteil des Gefüges sozialer Kontrolle ist.

Confronted with empirical evidence, the control of drug consumption by criminal law appears to be counter-productive. But by looking behind the surface, it can be seen as part of discipline-orientated strategies of social control, whose actual arrangements are discussed by the catchwords „prevention" and „ acceptance ". This focus proves F oucault 's "disciplinarian individual" still to be a virulent element of the mechanisms of social control in contemporary society.
