Linker Realismus : Kritische Kriminologie der achtziger Jahre oder neo-klassizistische Realpolitik

Abstract

Es wird geschildert, wie sich der sogenannte Ansatz der „Linken Realisten “ in der radikalen Kriminologie entwickelt hat und wie sich die Vertreter dieses Ansatzes den allgemeinen gesellschaftlichen Veränderungen in der Zeitspanne von 1968 -1988 angepaßt haben. Dabei geht es auch um eine Übersicht über realistische Themen wie etwa den demokratischen Polizeischutz, die Errichtung einer qualitativen, radikalen Viktimologie und die abolitionistische Kritik am Realismus.

In this article the author shows how the so-called left realist approach developed from radical criminology and how this realist shift corresponds with more general societal changes that took placefrom the 1960s to the 1980s. The article also aims to provide a survey of the realist agenda, including community- and minimalpolicing and the establishment of a radical qualitative victimology, and of the abolitionist criticism on realism.
