Inhaltszusammenfassung:

Dargestellt werden wesentliche Inhalte und Ergebnisse einer kontrollierten, randomisierten Interventionsstudie. Überprüft wurde die Wirksamkeit eines kognitiv-verhaltenstherapeutischen Trainingsprogramms zur Reduktion von Depression nach Schlaganfall. Behandelt wurden geriatrische Patienten, die mit der Diagnose eines Schlaganfalls und einer manifesten "depressiven Episode/Major Depression" (ICD-10/DSM-IV-Kriterien) im Zeitraum von Oktober 1999 bis Oktober 2002 in die Klinik für geriatrische Rehabilitation des Robert-Bosch-Krankenhauses, Stuttgart, aufgenommen wurden.

Abstract:

Substantial methods and outcomes of a controlled, randomised therapy study are described. The study examines the effectiveness of a cognitive behavioural treatment to reduce depression after stroke. Subjects were stroke patients with a diagnosed "depressive episode/major depressive disorder" (ICD10/DSM-IV-Criteria) from October 1999 to October 2002 in a German rehabilitation unit (Klinik für Geriatrische Rehabilitation, Robert-Bosch-Krankenhaus, Stuttgart).
